The government of the Kingdom is legislated from a third heaven posture.
Matthew 16:18-19 (KJV)
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Our job as sons of the Kingdom is to learn how to take authority over what the Father desires to be bound and loosed in the 2nd and 1st heaven, according to what is revealed to us by Holy Spirit and the messengers of heaven.
One thing that might help is to see beyond the picture in this post which attempts to share a spiritual principle with natural perspectives. When I think of the three heavens, I do so by thinking in terms of dimensions rather than places. God is everywhere, angels go back and forth and demons along with Satan are relegated to the second and 1st heaven. We are seated with the King and our posture is at HIs side.
It is an alignment thing. As we are seated with Jesus we must also align with Holy Spirit so that the plans and purpose of Jesus might be accomplished, for He only does what he sees His Father doing. The Holy Spirit reveals to us the desire of God.
Ephesians 2:6 (TPT)
6 He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!
1 Corinthians 2:10-13 (NASB)
10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
It is an issue of abiding in Christ. It is not our job as mortals to manipulate the courts of heaven. If the Son of man can do nothing unless He sees His Father doing it then how much more are we as joint heirs relegated to authentic alignment with the desire and design of the Father.
John 15:1-7 (NASB)
Jesus Is the Vine—
Followers Are Branches
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
The supernatural grace we need is available for His greater works but we must align our hearts and our actions with the Father even as Jesus and Holy Spirit show us the way.
Presumption puts the path and plan in our hands rather than the Father’s. Such is the error of open theism.
John 5:19 (NASB)
19 Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
We must learn to abide in Christ, so that His words might abide in us that we can add faith to those words, and experience His grace toward us and through us manifesting His desire and purpose in the Earth realm.
Beware of Presumption
Presumption is simply faith misplaced which lacks the substance of His “Words”. His words are the bread of life, the prophetic intelligence we need to live and move, and do His will.
Presumption is not faith for faith must have substance. I am not talking about the written word but the rhema word which is only apprehended by His sheep who hear His voice. If the substance of our faith is His words then we are no longer moving in just hope or presumption but we can move by grace through faith to see His greater works of the supernatural manifest. Presumption is stepping out when we have not heard the Lord, maybe based on principle or a good idea but lacking spiritual validity.
Romans 10:17 (NASB)
17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word (rhema) of Christ.
Hebrews 11:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
If we learn how to operate from our abiding place, seated with Christ in the heavens, then we have legislative authority over everything under the throne of heaven.
This is what it means to pray and declare and demonstrate things in the name of Jesus.
It’s not a magic phrase. It’s delegated authority under the desire and plan of the King. This makes us ambassadors of the King. It makes our declarations and prayers powerful.
James 5:16 (KJV)
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
2 Corinthians 5:20 (NASB)
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
