Creating a culture of honor is what kingdom culture is all about. Love compensates. Pride does whatever it wants at the expense of others then justifies its lack of love by siding with the accuser of the brethren and making excuses.
Philippians 2:3 (AMP)
3 Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].
Good teams nuture a culture of honor and love. Bad leaders skip the love part and dictate their wishes.
Kingdom is about team. Working it with love and honor causes people to enjoy the process. Love never compromises the vision it simply nurtures the process forward.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails…
