Some are in it for the Credit

Some are in it for the Glory

And some are in it for the Kingdom

What are we really in it for?

We are a slave to that which we pursue, that which drives us.

Those who are in it for credit are those who need to be seen by men. They do their works in public. They do not do it out of relationship with God. They pretend to do it for God. But in truth they are their own God because works is their way to heaven.

Those who are in it for their Glory are the narcissists. Those with a messiah complex. They need the fame and to have their name in lights drives them. These are the ones who are easily tied to Mammon. They are driven by growth, success and being somebody special. When push comes to shove their conviction is a half inch deep. They are users and exploiters not sharing the glory with anyone.

Those who are in it for the King and His Kingdom are the ones who will sacrifice and suffer for His name sake. They will do the hard thing when it is not popular. They will give themselves for the success of others. These are those who understand what towel ministry really looks like. They are in it for the people and their potential in the Kingdom.
