The Ekklesia of God is rising into greater regional expressions and I sense the pleasure of the Lord.
The church has always known that we were called out of the world systems to be a people but we are in many ways just learning that we were also called into a new order as we were reconfigured into His Kingdom.
We are just beginning to apprehend that we are a house which occupies a mountain.
Isaiah 2:2 (KJV)
And it shall come to pass in the last days,
that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains,
and shall be exalted above the hills;
and all nations shall flow unto it.
Team ministry is rising to new expressions and convergence is the name of the game.
Team ministry on a regional level often requires multiple apostolic and prophetic graces to see the Ekklessia arise to its full potential. The idea of shared apostleship is a very New Testament reality but it requires a lot of finesse.
Many leaders have yet to die enough to their own ambitions to be able to flow in this new wineskin but some have died well and now they must press in even if it a difficult path to maneuver. It is a time to dabble in greatness.
If you want to be greatest in the Kingdom then you become the one who serves the best. This is not an easy task nor was it meant to be a metaphor. It means giving yourself away knowing that sacrifice is in order. Not everyone is ready or has the finesse to gracefully yield to other graces and on the flip side, it takes confidence to rise and engage when it is your place to do so.
The qualities listed below are a must for the the kind of leaders that God is looking for in the days ahead.
1. We must have the ability to discern our grace in the context of the cluster of graces around us
2. We must have humilty to know how to get out of the way and prefer one another as we yield to the flow of Holy Spirit in and through His people
3. We must have the confidence and discretion to know when a demand is being placed upon our grace by Holy Spirit to step forward and make a sound.
There are really good days ahead for the church as we shift from what church has traditionally been to the Ekklesia that God intended for us to become.
