Can apostles and prophets work together? That is the question…
Only if they are dead to their flesh and alive to Christ. Only if they choose the design of the Kingdom rather than the design of their kingdoms.
There are two processes we all long to see taking place within the earth.
1. Revival and Awakening
2. Reformation and Transformation
Revival is what many are pressing toward presently within cities. Revival and awakening work together. Revival is the easy part of the process. Revival requires that we come together, get ourselves out of the way and let God be God. God is ready to release His power and grace within regions. We are not waiting on Him. He is waiting on us.
Reformation on the other hand requires a completely different engagement. It requires us working together to bring an administration of the Kingdom within the earth. Reformation also requires that we get our egos out of the way. Reformation requires that we learn the power of alignment. As leaders we must learn how to leave our crowns at the door but bring our grace to the table.
Philippians 2:3 (KJV)
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Team in the Kingdom, regionally speaking, starts with apostles and prophets understanding that they truly need each other. Even the best apostles and prophets only see in part. These two graces must lean how to meld into one foundation. In a region these two graces are conprised of many people. People who choose to strive for the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. People who see and call out to the strength in one another even as they refuse to despise the weaknesses.
Ephesians 4:3-7 (NIV)
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called ; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
The largest obstacle which stands in the way of progress toward regional transformation is spiritually arrogant leaders who refuse to acknowledge that they do not have all the answers.
The second greatest obstacle is people thinking that any one leader has all the answers. Team is the plan of heaven and foundation building requires both apostles and prophets.
We must come to the realization that Jesus divided Himself into five graces not to segregate the church but instead to break the church into five contiguous assignments within the earth. One of the key assignments of apostles and prophets is to lay foundations regionally for a robust expression of the Kingdom to spring forth.
All of Hell is working overtime to keep these two graces from coming together in any significant way.
Arrogance says I see for all of us. Insecurity says why don’t you see what I see. Maturity says how can we weave these pieces together into the tapestry God has intended for us.
The prophet sees
The pastor sees
The evangelist sees
The teacher sees
The apostle sees
The challenge comes because they all see the same thing only differently.
That is why there is an order involved in weaving the tapestry together. It begins with apostles and prophets.
1 Corinthians 12:27-28 (KJV)
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Team work makes the dream work.
There is an administration to the administration of the Kingdom. Apostles and prophets, please do not give up on the process.
Keep dying,
Keep getting out of the way
Let go of your previous crowns
Step up with your grace
If apostles and prophets lay regional foundations then others can build upon those foundations to see the Kingdom advance within the earth. If they only keep to their kingdoms then every throne of iniquity within the land will rejoice.
Some iniquitous structures can only be brought down if we work together.
