The great harvest of the ages does not take place without considerable shaking and challenge.
The earth shakes as nations wrestle over ideology and which political style will win out. Realignments of nations and realignment within nations is bound to come which always produces societal and political shaking. While political pundits push their latest lie or version of the truth, the earth suffers from short sightedness.
Isaiah 9:7 (NKJV)
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
God is looking for an ecclesia who is not fearful of the wars and rumors of wars. A people who see the end game is about the earth ultimately reflecting the beauty of heaven. A people who are not afraid to suffer or work hard if it means the greatest harvest of souls the world has ever seen takes place. The present shakings in the nations are contractions of a much greater travail.
The shaking is for our good if we do not get lost in it
Hebrews 12:26-29 (NKJV)
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.
When God is dealing with the earth realm He is working in the midst of the principalities and powers that have their own agenda for world domination. The earth shakes as God deals with those structures. It is during these times of shaking that the body of Christ must learn to arise and become a city on a hill which cannot be hidden.
The year of the favor of the Lord comes at the same time as the day of the vengeance of our God. As God deals with his enemies to uproot them from the land He is also putting favor upon his people so that many might come into His kingdom and experience His ways.
Isaiah 61:1-7 (NIV)
The Year of the LORD’s Favor
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
5 Strangers will shepherd your flocks;
foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
6 And you will be called priests of the LORD,
you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
and in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of your shame
you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
When the Lord visits earth to deal with His enemies He is also favoring His people to do bold exploits and bring in the harvest. Harvest comes with the shaking.
God is looking for a people who will shine brightly in the midst of darkness. A people who know how to position themselves well so that they do not get lost in the midst of shaking times. We must be a bride who is ready for the Days of visitation. We must have our lamps ready.
Luke 12:35-39 (NIV)
35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. 38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak. 39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.
Quit trying to pray the shaking away! This is not a time to run away from harvest. It is a time to run toward harvest. It is time to be a city on a hill. Do not be afraid of challenging times. Do not be afraid to suffer. Learn how to gain a harvest mentality in the midst of the storm.
1 Peter 4:12-17 (NIV)
Suffering for Being a Christian
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Times of shaking are the best times to demonstrate the power of the Kingdom. Signs, wonders, healing and deliverance are our portion. We must know how to move by faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We must learn to have our testimony sharpened and be those who know how to demonstrate the power of God in every situation. The earth is the Lords and the fulness there of.
How to prepare to reap your field:
1. Learn how to walk in your calling and in the power of God. Healing, deliverance, miracles, signs, wonders and prophetic insight are our portion.
2. Build an ark of refuge and supply for your family by being prepared to be a blessing to those around you in times of crises and lack.
3. Apprehend strategy from heaven to occupy in the midst of the shuffling. Be the head and not the tail. Learn how to prosper in shaking times. In every realignment within the earth some people are going broke while others are becoming wealthy. Let the Lord bless you and favor you.
When we posture ourselves in a right harvest mentality we in turn gain sight for the kingdom to prosper around us.
Daniel 7:27 (NIV)
27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’
Luke 12:32-33 (NIV)
32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.
It is time for us to be about our Father’s business…
