Are all apostles? I don’t think so!

Apostolic grace is much different than having an apostolic role in the body of Christ.
Ideally we should see those with apostolic grace egaging apostolic work but to my amazement it is not so much the case. It seems every leader of every ministry in charismatic arenas considers themselves to be apostolic. They end up eventually calling themselves apostle because they are the senior or set leader of something. The one who sets up the chairs in church somehow ends up being the apostle of seating. The role of an apostle is a calling and not just an assignment.
The questions we should be asking are:
1. What grace does one truly have?
2. Is there grace to fulfill the role or assignment that is being engaged?
3. Does it come natural?
4. Is there a supernatura element to it?
5. Is the one in operation fulfilling their calling and enjoying it?
When those who are not apostles engage the work of an apostle they do a poor job of it at best. It does not serve the body well to be misaligned.
All are not apostles even though their ambition desires it to be so!
1 Corinthians 12:27-31 (NIV)
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.
Love Is Indispensable
And yet I will show you the most excellent way.
Apostles carry within their grace a supernatural ability to engage building processes and understanding how things develop from the ground up. How momentum is created and sustained. Apostles understand governance and development from a systems perspective. They have an ability to see how things are built out and created to sustain whatever tries to destroy the creation. We need expert builders these days not apostolic wantabe’s.
1 Corinthians 3:10 (NIV)
10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.
It is by wisdom that the house is built and apostles move in a type of wisdom that is beyond natural means. Add prophets into the mix and you have a dynamic foundation building team.
Some times people have to do things outside of their grace mix but it should aways be plan B. plan A should be to align with apostles and prophets and allow them to help you nurture the vision and dream within you. They will help you to build with wisdom and in such a way that all the body is edified.
We cannot see the future manifest as it should with everyone who leads a prayer group, house group or disciples somebody calling themselves an apostle.
We must be honest about who we are and who we are not. Then and only then will we surround ourselves with what is lacking.
Fake it until you make it is not a good motto for this season…
