God desires for us to go into this new season thinking of ourselves In the context of how He sees us rather than the trappings of our past mindsets. God called Guideon a mighty man of valor at a time when he was hiding out and worried about his survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God sees us through the lense of tomorrow which is why we need to learn to see ourselves through the lense of faith. God has His ways of moving us forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes God has to deal with the identity traps we put ourselves in. The labels that define our engagement can sometimes limit our potential. Even the organizations we build can become limiting if we are not careful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes we chase false or inferior identities trying to be what we think we should be or even live up to what others think we should be only to find we have been chasing the wind. Or even worse that the wind of His Spirit is no longer in our sails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When God removes the wind from our sails, or we feel that his grace is not upon us as it was in the past, please be aware that this is not for our harm. This is God\u2018s way of remantling us for a new season. sometimes He does this by making our present status look and feel very unattractive. We must learn how to stop, pause, and allow him to take us deeper and do what only He can do. There is a greater level of glory He is moving us into which will cause our identity to mingle with His in greater measure. His grace is a wonderful thing as we yield to it. In His grace we have uncapped potential. Outside of His grace we are left to the frailty of our humanity which falls short of His Glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes, if we\u2019re not willing to stop, he will help us stop. Sometimes we have outgrown the identity others have deemed for us, or we simply outgrow the mantles we are wearing. Sometimes we need to change the clothes we\u2019ve been wearing because they no longer fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When God changes or reveals His objectives in regard to our callings it requires that we re-evaluate what we call identity. We must allow God to recloth us with fresh grace in the identity He desires for us to wear for the days ahead. This is especially important when He shifts the playing field or the height and objective of our mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many times when we are being remantled, it also requires a dismantling of the identities we have grown so comfortable with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was a time in my life when God asked me to come up higher. I had to take a pause in my activity to be able to ascend the mountain of the Lord and allow Him to shape a new wineskin in my mind. I was only able to see into the future from my old mindset. He needed me to see the future from his perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psalms 46:10 (KJV) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this next season of Kingdom manifestation be careful to discern beyond the natural into what God is speaking by the Spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be ready! For many who we have seen in one light in past seasons will begin to be seen for who they truly are in the seasons to come. Like David shifting from shepherd to giant slayer. Things can happen quickly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is time to discern one another by the spirit, for we are in a changing season. It is time to recognize by grace so that we see accurately how the living stones are being knit together in this Kingdom era. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 Peter 2:5 (NASB) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In other words, how you were known yesterday will not accommodate how God desires to use you in the coming season. Sometimes our present identity can stand in the way of our future development. Sometimes you have to let go of one thing to engage another. The things that in one season help define us can in a new season become the trap that binds us and keeps us from leaping forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When God is redefining the playing field, wait and pause until you see how your piece fits into the schematic of His new design. We are in a shaking and changing season. The shaking is for our good because God is recalibrating His people to engage territory in new ways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is moving His people from primarily building houses to building cities. It will look different. Many of the same components yet engaging a different and fuller outcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is taking us beyond making disciples of people to making disciples of nations. We must come up higher to see. Coming up higher, will cause us to know how we are seated upon the mountain of his kingdom as we function as living stones in his spiritual house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isaiah 2:2-3 (NASB) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 Now it will come about that In the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
3 And many peoples will come and say, \u201cCome, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways and that we may walk in His paths.\u201d For the law will go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
